Dr. Baker is an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon with expertise in the Temporomandibular Joint. He has the unique position of understanding the dental aspect of treatment, possible medical causes to internal TMJ problems. Most importantly Dr. Baker is not a "hammer," viewing every case as a "nail," but rather has a wide range of clinical skills enabling him to treat TMJ in the most comprehensive manner possible

His experience working with Orthopedic surgeons and physical therapists in these roles makes him uniquely qualified to offer relief to those suffering from Temporomandibular Joint Disorder.

Dr. Baker has performed hundreds of surgeries on the tempormandibular joint as well from the most minimally invasive to total joint replacements.

Minimally invasive treatment therapies

His interest and expertise lies in the most minimally invasive techniques of TMJ therapy. Arthroscopy is regarded as one of the most challenging and technique sensitive procedures that can be done in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

Arthrocentesis
A minimally invasive technique to remove inflammation from the TMJ.
Arthroscopy
A novel technique of using a tiny camera and instruments to replace the disk to it's natural position.
Joint Replacement Surgery
Sometimes the TMJ is in such bad shape that it needs to be replaced entirely. Dr. Baker uses the latest techniques and technologies of virtual planning to make this as minimally invasive as possible.
